Born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Actor, Singer and Song Writer Rayshun LaMarr discovered his talent for singing at the young age of seven. His love for God and music led him to sing in the church. It was when his family moved to Washington D.C. that Rayshun was able to attend the acclaimed Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Upon graduation, he attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia as a vocal jazz major and minoring in classical music. The extensive training, he received coupled with his natural talent is remarkable.
After college, Rayshun went on to win Best Male Entertainer and Most Outstanding Vocalist in Missouri’s National Singing Competition. In 2007, he released an EP titled “The Legacy Begins”, which he performed at local venues on the east coast.
